NITELITE Golf Tips
- Start the Planning process early.
- Establish working Committees to research local and corporate sponsors,
as well as plan for raffles, auctions and prizes.
- Sell sponsorships for $500 or more.
- Advertise you NITELITE® Golf Tournament as unique, different and
FUN!
- Increase visibility via local radio, TV, and newspaper coverage.
- Invite the press to play in your Tournament.
- Call Sports Anchors or Directors.
- Increase player participation and revenues by utilizing all 18 holes
of the Golf Course, or better still, secure a golf facility which has
more than one course.
- (American Cancer Foundation in Toledo, Ohio, uses a facility with
4 courses and has increased participation to over 300 player!.)
- Start the NITELITE® Tournament with a Shot-Gun Start.
- Run more than one event during the evening - "Closest-To-The-Pin"
- "Putting Tournament - "Longest Drive" - "Hole-In-One". ( Hole-In-One's
are achievable -
- Head Professional Dan Hodapp at Elkins Ranch and Golf Club in Fillmore,
CA, sunk two with consecutive shots Jan 22, 1997, at the Innisbrook
Golf Resort in Tarpon Springs, FL at the NGCOA Annual Meeting. Monies
raised from entry fees into the contest was donated to the NGCOA Don
Rossi Scholarship Fund. 48 Holes-In-One have been won so far.
- Light golf carts well.
- Have participants bring a flashlight for direction only -- don't shine
it on the Golfball!
- Blink the flashlight at the players behind you when leaving a green
to signal that it's OK to Play.
- Don't forget to turn off the timer on the sprinklers - otherwise you
may get a moonlight rainstorm!
- Light hazard areas well.
